Radio Hirschmugl – Blues & More

Das Schlagzeug scheppert wie auf einer 45iger-Decca-Bluesplatte aus den 50iger Jahren, während der Bass gelassen dahinwummert. Messerscharfe Gitarrenriffs treffen auf stampfende Bluesharp-Attacken, zartes Fingerpicking wird von ausufernden Flötensolis umspielt.

Und mitten drinnen Texte, die verstören, traurig oder auch nur wütend sind. Oder, wie der große Townes Van Zandt meinte: „Ich denke nicht, dass alle meine Lieder so traurig sind. Ich habe ein paar, die sind nicht traurig – die sind nur hoffnungslos.“

Aber weil das Leben nicht nur grau und grausam ist, tauchen immer wieder verspielte Farbtupfer auf. Ein Augenzwinkern, eine Einladung, eine Liebeserklärung oder auch nur ein Gefühl der Gelassenheit.
